The First SUP Race in Jakarta During The Pandemic

Director: Erwin Darmali | Running time: 1:17 min | Released: 2021 | Genre: Water Sports Documentary Film | Rating: G

About the event:
The Covid-19 pandemic hit the world in the early 2020 and put a stop to the activities of the Jakarta Paddle Club. There are no dragon boat practices and no upcoming races. The idea then was to convert their activities according to the health and safety protocols, mainly social distancing. The Pirate Paddlers was born, switching their boat for individual Stand Up Paddling (SUP). A few months later, they held an internal SUP race to get the members connected after several limited lockdowns, while maintaining all the protocols. This is a short trailer created for the sponsors.
