A Truly Inspiring Story

A few years back I heard a story that was so extraordinary and I was truly inspired by this person and what he had experienced. After several meetings and talking for hours about his story, I decided to make a documentary short film about his life story.

That was about 4 years ago. Over the years, at the time of writing this blog, the film has been seen by over 80,000 people and many had written about how this story inspired them.

Last weekend, 11/21/2020, a brand new film festival called Films That Inspire selected this film as one of their 13 finalists from over 300 submissions from all over the world.
It was so great to see so many filmmakers dedicate time to tell great, uplifting stories - I really enjoyed watching all the films, and I was left with a feeling of empowerment to do more films. Towards the end, it was announced that The Simplicity of Happiness won the Most Inspiring Film in the festival!

A special thank you to Films That Inspire, Sean, Alex, and all the other filmmakers at the festival. Thank you for sharing this film again and hopefully, it would benefit others, as it was intended to.
